PUMP FAMILY
Metering / Dosing Pump (diaphragm type)
Precision delivery in litres per hour — where the quantity matters more than the pressure.
Adjustable, repeatable low-rate injection for water treatment and process dosing.
The envelope
| Recommended temperature | ≤ 90 °C |
|---|---|
| Delivered-evidence ceiling | ~200 °C (special builds) |
| Sealing | Sealless — diaphragm metering head |
| Design basis | API 675 (where specified) |
Where it is used
- Chemical dosing: coagulants, inhibitors, pH correction, disinfection chemistry
- Small flows that must be repeatable: typically up to about 1 m³/h
- Processes where the dose, not the pump, is the control variable
Where it stops
- A flow instrument with a pump attached — accuracy claims belong to defined conditions, not the whole envelope
- Viscous or solids-bearing fluids defeat the check valves; the fluid must be pumpable in the instrument sense
- Pulsation is inherent — piping design (dampeners, relief) is part of the installation
Diaphragm metering constructions reach about 200 °C in documented builds; the standard recommendation zone ends at 90 °C.
