PUMP FAMILY
Magnetic Drive Centrifugal Pump (Metallic, sealless)
Zero leakage by construction — the mechanical seal, the most common leak point, simply does not exist.
Sealless design eliminates the mechanical seal — the most common leak point. Standard choice for solvents and hazardous media.
The envelope
| Recommended temperature | ≤ 250 °C |
|---|---|
| Delivered-evidence ceiling | ~350 °C (special builds) |
| Sealing | Sealless — magnetic coupling, zero leakage |
| Design basis | ANSI B73.3 / ISO 2858 envelope |
Where it is used
- Toxic, flammable, expensive or environmentally sensitive fluids: solvents, acids, heat-transfer media
- Duties where seal maintenance and seal-support systems are not wanted
- Services where emissions rules make a packed or single-sealed pump a compliance problem
Where it stops
- Solids are the enemy of the magnetic coupling and containment shell bearings — clean fluids only
- Dry running damages the bearing system fast; the pump needs the liquid it moves
- Above 250 °C the standard recommendation ends; jacketed builds extend it, at engineered-build pricing
Jacketed magnetic-drive builds are documented to about 350 °C; the recommendation zone ends at 250 °C.
