PUMP FAMILY
Air-Operated Double Diaphragm Pump (AODD)
No motor, no seal, no priming problem — the utility answer for transfer, solids and awkward suction.
Compressed-air driven, fully self-priming, can dead-head and run dry without damage. The utility player for drum unloading and sump service.
The envelope
| Recommended temperature | ≤ 105 °C |
|---|---|
| Delivered-evidence ceiling | 105 °C |
| Sealing | Sealless — air-operated double diaphragm, no shaft seal |
| Design basis | No single governing standard — specify diaphragm material and air-valve type |
Where it is used
- Transfer and drum/tank unloading of almost any pumpable fluid
- Solids-bearing and stringy fluids that clog centrifugal impellers
- Hazardous areas where an electric motor is the problem, not the solution
Where it stops
- Air consumption is the operating cost — inefficient for continuous duty against an electric pump
- Pulsating flow by construction; dosing accuracy is not what this machine is for
- The 105 °C ceiling comes from elastomer diaphragms, published consistently by manufacturers
The elastomer ceiling of about 105 °C is a materials fact; special diaphragm compounds do not move it far.
